24 Hours of Travel = Geneva!

28 Aug

After a grueling 24 hours, here I am, a bit haggard, but in great spirits.

We encountered thunderstorms over New York which required a diversion and refueling. After two hours we were allowed to finally make it to Newark. The only problem is that the flight had already left. Rather than spend the night in New Jersey I chose to run to gate 126 and make the 730 flight to Frankfort.  This was 12 hours into this adventure.

I was fortunate to have an LA angel help arrange transfers while I was trapped in a plane at Sullivan air strip waiting for fuel and the thunderstorm to pass.  Luckily, the 730 flight was late, and I made it on and into a beautiful seat. While the plane was going to Frankfort, my luggage was still in Newark.

I arrived in Frankfort after some sleep and spent two hours at the Frankfort airport.  After cleaning up, I found my way to gate A3 and boarded a Lufthansa B737 to Geneva. I am happy to be here safely.

Now after 24 hours of travel, a shower, massage, steam, sauna and some purchased toiletries, I am in the French Alps and off to dinner with daughter Cat and her boyfriend Nick.  Life is good!

To Fill or Not to Fill – That is the Question

20 Aug

There may be some of you who are old enough to remember the show, “What’s my Line?” where the panelists tried to guess the occupation of the guest.  We’ve been seeing a dramatic jump in other kinds of lines and what we call “facial rejuvenation” for lines of a different more long lasting type. These nonsurgical facelifts save time, money, and for those who might have a fear of surgery, help both men and women look their best and remain on-the-go.

Just look what a difference a filler made for this patient. It took years off.

The fillers available today are light-years beyond collagen and other fillers from several decades ago. Treatment is easier, the results can be stunning and the span between follow-up treatments has been extended. Fillers can rejuvenate multiple problem areas like smile lines, vertical lip lines and facial hollows.  There are many to choose from – Botox, Restylane, Perlane, Dysport, Xeomin and Laviv, just recently approved after nine years of clinical studies.

Some speculate that by keeping wrinkles from forming with Botox, for example, aging wrinkles may be delayed by years.  We’ll be able to tell down the road after years of study.  Check out more before and afters here.

What fillers do you think would be right for you?

WGS
