Man Oh Man, You Need A Facial!

Yes guys.  I’m talking to you.  Men are finally getting the message that skin care and plastic surgery are not just for women.  You deserve a little pampering as well.  A recent article by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons http://bit.ly/10ACOv9 reminded me that men have been left out of general skin care discussions and plastic surgery information.  Those worry lines between the eyebrows are extremely common, for example. Botox can help!

Stressed Over Money

Funny thing is, in reality this is a huge growing trend.  Just recently, I started seeing a whole lot of guys in the reception area of my practice when they found out about how CoolSculpting can blast away those love handles and guts by freezing the fat.

Plastic surgery procedures for men – both surgical and non-invasive – increased a whopping 88 percent over the past 13 years with men now having more than 750,000 procedures a year, about eight percent of the U.S. total. The procedures most men ask for are liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), eyelid surgery, breast reduction to treat enlarged male breasts and cosmetic ear surgery.

Men wear their resumes on their faces, so I am not surprised to see the study statistics.  They want to keep their jobs, get a job after being laid off or just want to look younger and more rested.  Fillers like Botox are far and away the most requested non-surgical procedure.

Laser hair removal and chemical peels are also popular. While the affluent male baby boomers seek plastic surgery to help them look as youthful as possible, a variety of people are asking for procedures – businessmen and actors to mechanics and construction workers.

It’s a tough world out there, so try a relaxing facial at our Institute. Then check out what else we have to offer.  You’ll be glad you did guys.
